The Time When A Human Turned Into a Phoenix

Hi! I hope you're  all as excited as I am about Halloween. ๐ŸŒ

The day before yesterday, I wrote over 2K words. I'm very proud of myself. The day before that, I've written in total about 10K words (not all at once). This is making me very excited to reach the next milestone which is 20K. I'm working on the same number of words today.

I introduced a couple of new characters in the book. One of them was introduced earlier in the book and a newer one was introduced not too long ago. This character is called Ilda. She left her flat in Brighton to escape her abusive environment and home, to finally end up in London. On the train, she met Calvin, a young man who helps her find a home at his home. On her sixteenth birthday, she turns into a phoenix. He is completely flabbergasted. Here is an excerpt of what happened.

                                   *******************************************

“Wow! That’s incredible!” Ilda stood up and stretched. A shooting pain ran through her and made her fall to her knees.

“Ilda! Are you ok?” He turned the main light on.  He fell to his knees and held her close. His hands felt the lump on her back. “What’s this? Take your hoodie off.”

She pulled her arms free and let the hoodie fall to the ground. A pair of large red, yellow and orange wings flared up around her. He gasped and fell to the ground, stunned. Slivers of black cloth fell off the wings. The back of her shirt was almost completely bare. Ilda starred at her wings in horror. It has happened. This is it.

“What time is it?” She swallowed down the bile that crept up her throat.

“What?” Colin couldn’t believe his eyes.

“What time is it?” She said louder.

   “Ugh, it’s midnight. I don’t understand what’s happening.”

   “I’m sixteen.” She stood up.

“Ok. I thought you were a little young. Is there someone I need to call? Do you need help?” He rubbed his eyes and rocked himself back and forth.

“No, it’s just me. It’s my birthday. And this has finally happened.” She flexed her wings wide open, knocking down a lamp. “Oops, sorry!” She smiled.

“You’re glowing. So you expected this to happen?” He couldn’t force himself to stand up.

“Yeah, I had recurring nightmares about it. I thought I was going to be a monster, or that I was going to die.” Walking around the house, she pulled open a window. “Is there access to the roof?”

I hope you enjoyed it. ๐Ÿ˜„

The Time The Sky Turned Orange

Yesterday, I went outside and the sky was orange! It cast a weird light and everything looked almost black and white, like the old movies. It was so weird. The birds were flying away towards the seafront. People were freaking out. They were taking pictures and walking in the middle of the street. It was a bit chaotic. Then it started raining and the wind picked up. I could totally write a book about this. I hope you enjoy it. :)

XOXO

This one is a throw back to when I went to London Zoo with my friends.

Police Cells Ghost Hunt

I never thought I'd go on a ghost hunt. When the opportunity came up, I thought about it for a while before purchasing my ticket. A friend of mine and a couple of her friends were going, so I thought that it would be fun for the four of us to go on this ghost hunt. I took my camera with me. I hope you enjoy it! ๐Ÿ˜ˆ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ‘ป

I also took some  photos of the basement, storage areas, booking area and cells.

This is where the criminals would be booked in.

These are the old prisoner sinks. The bathrooms were disgusting and creepy.

I tried to take a long shot of part of the basement.

This is one of the cells.

Right at the bottom of the basement, there are old law books and empty shelves including spaces where the policemen used to work.

An old fashioned fireplace and two large wooden chairs flanked it.

We used the Ouija Board with a wine glass, which was very interesting.
We managed to contact a few spirits. I can't tell you for sure if it moved on it's own
or if it was our subconscious.

The judge's chair is at the far end.

We did some table tipping. The lady that was leading
our group thought that the table was moving at some point
but my friend accidentally moved it with her leg! ๐Ÿ˜‚

We did a couple of sรฉances and a few things did happen. There were some knocks, sounds and faint voices. We used rods to ask yes and no questions. It worked. This one was a fun one. I tried a crystal to see if I could get some answers. It moved back and forth, and counter clockwise.

At the end of the night or morning, we went over what was accomplished and talked about it. It was good fun. If you go, go with a friend for friends. It'll be a good night.
